International Economics of WebCam Sex
So I was visitng gay webcam chats the other day to see all the multicultural parade. Lots of Americans and Canadians, but also people from any country that could afford a webcam. They hide it though but I can tell. For instance I can tell if it is a russian guy because he forgets to take his cross off there and there is russian pop music in the background (Dima Bilan haircut) Though sometimes I mistake Czechs and Hungarians. (Euro-Mullet)
And this is interesting, because these sites all pay in Euro's or US Dollars. So Euro's or Americans are paying for these people from less afluent countries.
Wikipedia calls it a unique case in international economics. And it is very interesting what effect this has on the participants. Less interesting is the people paying because they'd just spend their money on something else on the inetrnet. So I want to know what it does to the models.
Though is this empowerment of these less affluent countries? Or exploitation. When I see it done from home it looks like a hobby of English-Language students to have a webcam chats for Western salary money. So I see it more as a hobby then even a lifestyle. I tried searching for an average daily salary from this and it ranges from 200-500 dollars USD. (A Little high in my opinion, I can't imagine anyone spending any money on the internet. And if it pays less then a dollar a minute then that means 200 minutes minimum to get 200 dollars.... or is this minimum amount possible if you work for 8 hours?)
