Apparently not as one was getting beaten by her dad for refusing, which Aeson didn't like and made some waves about. Now Lancer is attempting to smear his name in order to cover it up - hence the reason for this thread.

Am I right, cos that's my understanding of this thread so far...

To be fair, Lancer had (I assume) nothing to do with the beating. The beating happened to someone in the Philippines and Lancer had nothing to do with it. Lancer is just trying to cover it up because he portrays the Philippines, which is impoverished and in many ways a backwards country, as nothing but beautiful Filipinas and rays of sunshine when any reasonable person knows this not to be the case.

Aeson moved down there on Lancer's sales pitches and he was pointing out things weren't exactly as he was told, and Lancer's moving in for the kill now to try to discredit him. It actually backfired here -- he posted here because we'd probably figure out he was talking about Aeson (he helpfully eliminated Zkrib from the contention). A preventative character assassination attempt.

I find it hard to believe that Lancer started this thread to smear someone since he didn't name the manipulative person in the first post and then later refused to provide any more information. I believe it's common practice to actually name a person when you're trying to smear them. Most of us don't go to the panda boinking site so we would have no clue on the possible identity.

Looking at that thread, it's kind of creepy where Dale cleaned it up, Lancer thanks him (which makes sense) and then Buster's Uncle chimes in with "Wise move, sir."

Kind of makes you grateful that Lori just consigns our questionable content to the OT Hall of Fame.

I thought it was pretty widely known that Aeson and Zkribbler are the two Poly people who went to live in the Phillippines, and that Lancer "introduced" them to his family. It didn't take much thinking to isolate who he was talking about in a hurry if you don't have the blinders of you fondness for Lancer on. Hell, even Ben figured it out.

A thread which outwardly smeared Aeson would've been closed right away. Lancer knows that, he's had many of his threads closed...

Come on, rah, this is basic manipulation 101.

It's true. We don't know how good we have it.

Dale doesn't seem to assign value to posts or transparency. He's happy to delete them as he sees fit. (Obviously)

No I didn't remember that Aeson went over there so there is no way I would have made the connection. And Lancer has always been a dick to my brother and me so it wasn't fondness by any stretch of the imagination. I based it on what was available. Oh well. If it makes Lancer look like a jerk, I'm fine with that.
