This incident is only emblematic of that. The rhetorical flourish provided by "death panels" just made it amusing given the overheated reatction it seems to provoke here.
Besides, rationing of care already happens. It is just insurance companies who decline treatments and drugs.“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

As proposed in the bills currently under serious consideration by the Dem leadership in Congress? I would agree with that reading of my posts.
Your position is that:
a.) Medicare disbursement reform will be ineffective in reducing long term costs.
b.) Federally run insurance such as Medicare will cut back on reimbursing providers for marginal treatments to an excessive degree.
That is not internally consistent."Beware of the man who works hard to learn something, learns it, and finds himself no wiser than before. He is full of murderous resentment of people who are ignorant without having come by their ignorance the hard way. "

You hurt my feelings.
It's very consistent, actually.
How can you possibly be cynical about cost savings from disbursement reform if you believe that it will be excessively aggressive? That's pretty much the definition of a contradiction."Beware of the man who works hard to learn something, learns it, and finds himself no wiser than before. He is full of murderous resentment of people who are ignorant without having come by their ignorance the hard way. "

And way to build up a strawman.
Medicare disbursement reform will not be able to effectively deny specific treatments based on their cost
This is what I actually wrote:
b.) Federally run insurance such as Medicare will cut back on reimbursing providers for marginal treatments to an excessive degree.
Because this was referring to the example that Dino cited."Beware of the man who works hard to learn something, learns it, and finds himself no wiser than before. He is full of murderous resentment of people who are ignorant without having come by their ignorance the hard way. "
