So I think I can claim moral highground here and tell you this discussion is over, your sympathy for Tass' posts years ago is nice but get off of it.

He went along with it, and I believe they got restored the next day.

Also, as I recollect it was not a mass deletion of actual posts. It was a 95% PCR or some such that got restored the next day.

There may very well have been some post deletions of specific posts in threads of the OT during the period, but it was all in fun AFAIK.

We all had fun that evening, then Ming paid the piper the next day. Marcos was not happy, but I never saw mention from any poster that they were upset.

The Nine Heads of Ming was a Poly Party. With drinking and stuff. It was live in Ming's basement -- an historical bonding experience that did no harm but made for one wild Friday night in the OTF. And it cost what? A few playful PCRs and the death of some spam. The realtime online reaction was more amazement and wonder than outrage -- even among those affected. Frankly, it was a blast, the kind of shared experience that makes this a community.

BTW IIRC, the punishment to the twins was actually pretty severe -- lost their powers for awhile, at least a week or two. And both say it was well worth it!

That is correct... the mass deletion came upon his request much later. He had his reasons, and I agreed with them, so I did him the favor, all within the scope of my job.
