No news on Civ5 that I'm aware of, but it is inevitable.

No release date set but it is "under development" so probably a year or two away. That's a long time to bridge Civ forums between releases.

What they should have done with CIV4 is to make it basically a 3D version of CIV2.

The simplicity and addictiveness...And the easy to make scenarios.

Build-howitzers-and-win does not a good civ game make. And all those bloody caravans.

Agreed - Naturally, some things could be improved or removed.

I'd keep CIV4's trade-routes and tributes, along with paying gold instead of shields for armies...

Or who found the game boring. I honestly found CTP2 to be a much better game other then it's horrible AI. Of course, that was easily solved by only playing MP CTP2.

I honestly did delete Civ4 with in a week of buying it because it just plain was not fun to play.

I can remember a lot of people went out and bought a new computer or new graphic card when it was released... and I was one of them.
I was really pissed when I bought the game and couldn't play it with my old machine.
