  • Austrian Airlines has the best business class

It's the first three rows of seats in an A320, looking like all the other seats. But you get separated from the plebs by a curtain when the flight begins

I know for sure because I was in row 5, so with da plebs

Those business class folks must feel pretty special behind that curtain. Tho who knows what kinda unimaginable luxury pops up there in flight

    Is there a Mauthausen class?

Unlike some low-cost carriers, Austrian let's you actually know beforehand which gate you need to go to at the airport. Ryanair et al. often wait ages with that info, and it can change multiple times, even just shortly before boarding starts, which is super annoying as it causes da crowds to run back and forth on the airport

But then it remains a mystery to me why you can only check in online/by app in the last 24 or 48 hrs before the flight with some of the more expensive airlines, but budget airlines like Ryanair or easyjet usually allow this basically all the time.

Did someone mention business class? I've done a lot of business class in my time. The business class on the Emirates A380 was pretty swanky, liked the food on Etihad the most. Have a soft spot for BA's cabins though. But I did like the fact that for short haul business class, TAM had proper seats, not just the middle seat blocked off and a curtain from "the plebs". Likewise for Aeroméxico.

Yeah, I had a busy few years when not posting here 😁

...for a tiny supplement. Otherwise you're strapped to the wing

Not been to Austria, not even a short stop. As I'm an SAP expert needless to say since I first met you in Berlin (my first visit to Germany) I have returned a few times since 😁 In fact one year I was about a day short of being under Finanzamt's tax jurisdiction rather than the HMRC 😂

I like Germany and Austria. Not been there enough. I did a trip from Nuremburg down to Regensburg then along the Danube to Budapest, stopping at Passau, Linz, Vienna etc. Doubt I'd go to Bratislava again.
