You must see by now that it was a huge mistake to invade Ukraine. Like north Vietnam when the US tried to prop up its south Vietnamese ally, Ukraine was sure to have many powerful allies. Unlike Vietnam however Ukraine was right on Russia's doorstep. This allows the war to come home for Russians in a way that really wasn't possible for the US during the Vietnam war.

Perhaps if Trump invades Cuba you'll get a better illustration of why this was stupid for Russia to allow to occur in Ukraine. If trump invades and fails to conquer it that is.

Also, almost everything you've claimed about this invasion of Ukraine has come to make even less sense in light of subsequent events. It never made sense to claim that just as Russia set up its largest military buildup on ukraines borders ever, that Ukraine would see value in launching a vast genocidal artillery campaign against the Donbas as your state filtered media portrayed for you (despite no confirmation by Russian or belorusian OSCE observers and no meta verified new videos). Well now you also have to explain why these genocidal maniacs would be hitting Russian refineries and factories instead of apartment blocks with their cruise missiles. You also claimed that Ukraine was a US puppet but when the orange president cut off all US aid and invested massive public and diplomatic capital in forcing Ukraine to the concessions table we saw Ukraine only expanded its strikes within Russia. You claimed Russia withdrew from Kyiv only because Russia and Ukraine secretly agreed to the Istanbul proposal which failed, you say, because the US forced its puppet to renege on the secret deal but if so why couldn't trump use those levers to force Ukraine to surrender since then?

Furthermore, you claim Russia will end the war with a nuclear retaliation against NATO but the very fact that distant from Ukraine strategic assets in Russia keep blowing up with minimal collateral damage shows that even Ukraine enjoys superior precision to Russia. While every nuclear power understands that a nuclear war is a disastrous defeat for every country involved, it is also true that precision, not megatonnage or number of warheads determine how devastating the strikes are to the target. Clearly Russia is at a vast precision deficit relative to Ukraine and its allies. Nuclear weapons will not save the day for Russia in this vast screw up Serb.

The Ukraine invasion was a vast own goal and Russia charged into it with unrestrained gusto. It's way past time for Russia to figure out how to salvage what it can and expedite its own exit instead of waiting for the spiral to spin Russia out more or less against its will.
