Musk bruised at the WH before leaving - coincidence?

DOGE wasn't actually saving any money, Musk is trying to build a case as to why the deficit is bigger. Others in Trump's circle will start to blame Musk for promising a trillion in cuts and not delivering.
Just remember, it's all a smokescreen, probably planned, so they can loot as much as they can. They need to all go to prison.

If Musk was primarily loot and profit driven he would never have planned a hostile takeover of Twitter. I'm not saying he's above suspicion for graft and corruption but just that it might pay to assume more complex motives when trying to make sense of his words and actions.

My impression is Musk will lie and beg and steal, just like the rest, but his motives are different.
SpaceX contracts obtained by corruption say? I don't think he is doing it to get his personal wealth up (it's a side benefit, but not driver). Rather it is to subsidize and let his company do whatever he thinks is God's work. Patronage of the Arts for the modern era.
Just an opinion. One day Canada will rule the world, and then we'll all be sorry.

Twitter was his stepping stone to the White House. It was also data (loot) he could feed his AI on. The market value of it doesn't matter to him as it's private and he's only selling to himself. The paper "loss" (which he determined as buyer and seller) can be used to reduce taxes on other moves.
He used his political position to gut agencies that had oversight on his companies, stop investigations into his companies, get his hands on all our data (loot), and get government contracts (loot). Of course it was profit driven.
Trump is obviously enriching himself. As are many in his cabinet. The trading off Trump's changes of mind and the market responses are blatant.
I'm not saying Musk (or even Trump) doesn't have other motivations. Just that this whole DOGE thing is self serving to him and Trump. They haven't saved any money, it was all just a smoke screen while that got what they wanted from it. Now they have to decide who to blame with the deficit obviously not having been reduced.

It's just all so incredibly puerile. How can people look at these people with any seriousness believing they are fit to govern. We're seeing similar hissy fits within Reform, their de facto UK arm. It's pathetic to the highest degree.Speaking of Erith:
