sadly probably WMDs and not just any WMDs, specifically nukes with advanced delivery platforms and the independent orbital intelligence gathering to deliver them where it matters.

France and the UK have nukes. As for delivery methods, being able to hit Moscow, St. Petersburg, Beijing, Shanghai (and I guess now also Washington and Houston) is enough, there isn't really any more intelligence needed for strategic nuclear weapons.

You have a very large army but seem too preoccupied to move it anywhere else

I know. and I think Putin will calculate that UK's nuke delivery system is dependent on US support and that France will only use its nukes in response to attacks on France. More will be needed for certain. More intelligence is needed to make Putin less confident about his ability to take his nukes out of storage and deploy them for a decapitating and totally disarming first counter force strike in secret as well as less confidence about his ability to stage a conventional assault into part of Europe in secret.

With nukes unless they are used for city busting counter value strikes good timely intelligence is key and intelligence assets that your adversary can recognize but not easily deny are best.

Any secret nuclear strike is only secret until the missiles start flying. Also, that's why there's always one triomphant and one vanguard at sea at all times.

it can be too late then. you want the potential adversary to know that as soon as that potential adversary begins taking warheads out of storage you are on to them.

In any event establishing a good orbital intelligence is more affordable than ever thanks to incredible advancements in satellite launch options, especially in the commercial space. You would hardly believe how much cheaper it has become.

I'm not seeing the scenario where someone (Putin?) who is willing to launch nukes and trigger MAD would stop because someone tells him "I see what you're doing".

Also, what 'taking the warheads out of storage'? Any attempt at counter-force first strikes would be done using SLBM from closer to the targets to reduce flight time as much as possible.

I didn't go with manpower, because I don't think a draft is necessary, but an increase in the standing army or how often they train might be a good idea. I think the US was the lead in Cyber/Communications and you can't rely on the US anymore, so you need to build your own.

I think everyone but Ukraine, Russia, North Korea and China probably need to be building more ammo.

I bet that everyone but Russia, Ukraine, Iran, and possibly China should be building more drones.

Europe = France, Germany, Poland, Italy, Spain, Sweden, Finland, Netherlands, etc

UK is obviously interested in Europe and should be involved, but also should be involved with the commonwealth = Australia, Canada, New Zealand, possibly India, possibly South Africa, etc

This might require more of a Navy, Classic Air, and WMDs.

France + UK probably currently have enough WMDs for Europe. I could be wrong.

actually france just extended its nuclear shield to include germany on a first step to include all of europe?

considering that for hundrends of years these two were enemies, it is notesworthy
