It's time to put that historical accident out of its misery

  • #2
US is not a real nation, even they know it.

but there is something deeply immoral about a "country" based on genocide to begin with and composed of shield droppers. That's whta spartans called traitors and deserters. and the US is a country full of them.

It makes sense they are the worse humanity has ever produced. They are one by one the worse most pathetic traitors that exist. And they made a "country". Made of the garbage of every real nation.

laughable. time to team up with russia and china nad out them out of their misery and make them another brazil as they had always been

Sad thing is that we may be witnessing the beginning of their implosion. Just waiting for the "finding out" to follow from their "****ing around"

It seems like you can always tell when the implosions/own goals begin to approach a critical mass by watching the capital flight as the smart money adapts itself to the new realities. Shouldn't that be evident now? Why isn't there stronger capital flight from the US in response to this firehose of stupidity from the whitehouse?

Because a lot of this firehouse of stupidity will enable companies to make a lot of money in the short run?

A bit surprising. at least for companies with operations in the US who will have to foot the bill for the tariffs.

Yeah, they won't foot the bill for the tariffs. Why would they?

                    Hint: you will

they will and they have. Tariffs on materials for example can't be passed along to the consumer without destroying competitive advantage.

Competitive advantage compared to what? All other companies paying the same tariffs? Imported final products that pay tariffs on 100% of their cost?

exports! If a bunch of tariffs are placed on your materials, then your exports will be more expensive, or the manufacturer will eat the cost. the overseas manufacturer will obviously dodge all of that.

The manufacturer will have to eat the cost if they export and their product is easily substitutable, yes. But for stuff they sell domestically?

                            [Edit:]
So the supposed reason why Trump is threatening with tariffs is the US' trade imbalance, so what will be affected is stuff that is imported into the US and either sold as-is, or used as an input in a process which is then either exported or sold domestically.

For stuff that is sold externally, it is generally high-quality, high-value-added stuff which might survive some price increases.

But everythingthat is sold to US customers? They will end up paying for Trump's tariffs.
