I've never voted for anyone except Bernie in the 2016 primary. Trump's first term wasn't anything out of the ordinary (policy wise) for either party. I thought it was reasonable to assume his second term would be similar, so didn't make any exceptional plans to vote (as I wasn't able to as an expat).

But this is insanity. I'll vote in the midterms and make sure to have residency in a swing state for 2028 to vote against anyone from extending the Trump platform.

Just because someone supported you in the past doesn't mean you have to support them in the future regardless of qualifications.

My main disappointment with Bernie is he stuck with the Ds instead of making a run as an independent. Understand it, but disappointed.
