Hey, not a bad idea, as long as it's the US who takes in all the Palestinians. Maybe we can put them in Mar-a-Lago and other Trump properties?

Can I just say none of what Trump and Musk are doing is remotely surprising.
Congrats US public 👏 👏
(Congrats also to Joe Biden and the Democrats for making it possible 👏 👏)

Better yet end duplication and streamline everything while restructuring funding and regulations to prevent the new reformed agencies from getting captured like the old ones.

Just as an aside:
The share of Republicans who say they want tech billionaire Elon Musk to have significant influence in the Trump administration has fallen substantially in the months since President Trump was elected.
In The Economist/YouGov poll taken in the days after the November 2024 election, 47 percent of surveyed Republicans said they wanted Musk to have “a lot” of influence in the Trump administration, while 29 percent wanted “a little” and 12 percent wanted him to have “none at all.”
Today, however, the share of Republicans who say they want Musk to have “a lot” of influence has fallen substantially to 26 percent. Meanwhile, 43 percent of Republican respondents say they want Musk to have “a little” influence, and 17 percent say they want him to have “none at all,” according to the latest poll from The Economist/YouGov released Wednesday.

Top U.S. election official says Trump made illegal attempt to fire her
'There’s a legal way to replace FEC commissioners [but] this isn't it,' Ellen Weintraub says
U.S. Federal Election Commission (FEC) Commissioner and Chair Ellen Weintraub said on Thursday she received a letter from U.S. President Donald Trump that purports to fire her but added that the action was illegal.
In a post on X, Weintraub attached the Jan. 31 letter signed by Trump which said: "You are hereby removed as a Member of the Federal Election Commission, effective immediately."
Since taking office last month, Trump, a Republican, has embarked on a massive government makeover, firing and sidelining hundreds of civil servants and top officials at agencies in his first steps toward downsizing the bureaucracy and installing more loyalists.
"There's a legal way to replace FEC commissioners," Weintraub, a Democrat, said in her post, adding "this isn't it."
"I've been lucky to serve the American people & stir up some good trouble along the way. That's not changing anytime soon."
The FEC has more than 300 employees, with six commissioners at the top. The FEC's vice-chair, James Trainor, is a Republican.
Weintraub has served as a commissioner on the FEC since 2002, according to the FEC website. It says she has "served as a consistent voice for meaningful campaign-finance law enforcement and robust disclosure."
FEC commissioners are appointed by the president and confirmed by the U.S. Senate.
By law, no more than three commissioners can represent the same political party, and at least four votes are required for any official commission action, the FEC website says.

Musk to rehire Doge aide who resigned over racist posts
Elon Musk has said he will rehire an employee of his newly formed Department of Government Efficiency (Doge) who resigned after being linked to a racist social media account.
"He will be brought back," Musk posted on X, the social media platform he owns. "To err is human, to forgive divine."
Media reports tied Marko Elez, 25, who previously worked for Musk's SpaceX company, to a now-deleted social media account that posted the incendiary comments.
Vice-President JD Vance had said earlier in the day that the young employee should be given a second chance.
The account connected to Mr Elez - first reported by the Wall Street Journal - posted a variety of inflammatory comments that were verified by the BBC as authentic.
"Just for the record, I was racist before it was cool," read one post from the pseudonymous account in July.
Another post, in September, said: "You could not pay me to marry outside of my ethnicity."
"Normalize Indian hate," another post that month said.
All of the posts have since been deleted.- 15 things Trump and his team did this week
- USAID could slash staff to hundreds after placing most on leave
- 'People seem dumbstruck' - Inside Musk's race to upend government
Writing on X, Vance said that while he disagreed "with some of Elez's posts... I don't think stupid social media activity should ruin a kid's life".
Earlier in the day, Musk posted a poll on X inviting users to say whether the staff member should be brought back.
At least 78% voted in favour of his return out of hundreds of thousands who participated, according to results displayed underneath.
Responding to one user who said Musk should have a talk with Mr Elez "about the racist stuff. Not cool", the billionaire replied: "True."
Mr Elez's resignation comes amid growing scrutiny of Doge, the government cost-cutting advisory group established by Trump.
On Thursday, a US judge threw up a roadblock to one of those initiatives, halting a plan to offer incentives to millions of federal workers to voluntarily resign this month.
Musk has championed an effort to dismantle USAID, the government agency responsible for international development.
All but a handful of essential staff - from a workforce of about 10,000 people - are set to be put on administrative leave at midnight on Friday, including thousands based overseas.
