I wonder if the Panama Crisis will end up being to the US what the Suez crisis was to the UK and France.
One day Canada will rule the world, and then we'll all be sorry.

If you believe that, then you're as dumb as I thought...

That's the whole point, it won't, but it'll sure as **** be healthier moving further north than get slowly (or quickly, in LA's case!) roasted alive...

Maybe when the US inevitably takes over Canada, there will be an Arctic Palisades 😅

I know that Canadian provincial premier Danielle Smith is in Washington for the inauguration... Has she been sworn in as the Governor of Alberta yet?

Prolly kissing the ring so she can be made governor of Canada once the US invades and takes it over 😉

Don't be daft, we all know it will be Don Jr sent to bring to heel the northerners. Ivanka will get a sweet holiday pad to run Panama, and Eric will be shipped off to Greenland and told to find and count the penguins.

They've also made some Pacific hiking trail more difficult for Americans to complete by having to do a checkpoint detour due the Canadian portion 💪🇨🇦

We also refuse to make our hiking trails 'rascal friendly', so grossly overweight Americans can't use them.

I think it would be great fun to cut all electric exports to the US this Sunday afternoon... just for a few hours... tee hee

Mexico agrees to Trump's border security demands in exchange for tariffs being removed.

Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum has agreed to deploy 10,000 national guard troops to block drug trafficking at the U.S.-Mexico border.

Tru-dump is all alone now with his desire for a trade war instead of making a mutually beneficial deal. Yesterday Trump outline his three requirements: 1) Greater cooperation on illegal migration. 2) Greater cooperation on illegal drug trafficking. 3) Canada must open up closed economic sectors to free trade (Banking/finance, dairy, and agriculture). Tru-dump is refusing and says he prefers a trade war. Careful what you ask for as Canada has 20% of its economy based on exports to the US while the US has 1.5% of its economy based upon exports to Canada). Also Canada has refused to build pipelines and export terminals to either coast for stupid political reasons so it is not like it can easily just switch export markets.

You don't acknowledge that Trump is loudly declaring that he prefers a trade war by making the demands in the first place?

Have you read his book? He starts with maximalist demands and then tries to make a deal knowing that the eventual compromise will be somewhat more in his favor BECAUSE he started out making maximalist demands. He got what he wanted and that is good for America just like with Colombia. It worked.

Tru-dump is refusing some very simple and easy comprises and as a result Canada will most likely suffer a recession. Tru-dump is refusing to compromise and that is on him. He could addr as legitimate concerns about illegal migration, drug trafficking, and closed economic sectors yet he refuses to do so because he is a slave to special interests. What would happen if banking is opened up to free trade? Canadians would get lower interest car loans and home mortgages at better terms? How terrible.

That is definitely worth risking 20% of th Canadian economy to prevent!

Soft power. All evaporated. I mean it may just look like words have been exchanged but US reputation, and thus soft power, have been eroded for the foreseeable future. Everyone will be looking at shifting away from the US as you are perceived as an unreliable partner?

Fools will be fools though and if Tru-dump was ever anything then it was a fool.
