Escapism, definitely. I mean, why change now?

You missed the bunkering down option. (I mean, why change now?)
No, I did not steal that from somebody on Something Awful.

      True

But maybe it's not all bad. I mean, if there's peace in Ukraine within 24hrs we could see world peace breaking out in less than a month or so

Yeah, if everyone's dead, that would be pretty peaceful.

Cruise line offers four-year trip for Americans wishing to skip Trump’s second term

A cruise company is offering Americans a four-year escape from President-elect Donald Trump’s second term in the White House.

Florida-based cruise company Villa Vie Residences recently announced the launch of its Tour La Vie program, allowing passengers to spend up to four years visiting over 140 countries – all while avoiding the United States.

The Tour La Vie trip offers a variety of extended stays aboard the Villa Vie Odyssey, including a one-year “Escape from Reality” cruise, a two-year “Mid-Term Selection” cruise, a three-Year “Everywhere but Home” option, and the four-year “Skip Forward” trip.

Plus, you'll be going around the world!

Pretty decent pricing - about $250K and includes all normal amenities.
I'm not tempted, as I've never been on a cruise and don't think this is any way to start.

I'm not a fan either -- I like to move around freely, so being bottled up on a ship with trips on land in between is not so much my thing.
