  • Let's talk about BRICs

The US is losing its grip on world power.

This has been occurring at an accelerating rate since Ukraine and American support for Israel's genocidal warmongering...

BRICs has directly benefitted from this

    Discuss...

And no, this isn't a thread about Lego, Oerdin.

Is it me, or is MOBIUS a horrible person?

I'm not sure about this, Serb.

Please name one concrete accomplishment or policy from BRICS? It is just a photo op. It was literally just an acronym made up by an American economist in the year 2000 to talk about third world countries with decent bond returns at the time. They don't do much trade together (except China, of course) and there never will be any BRICS currency.

        Oerdin is always wrong:

They already represent 45% of the world's population and yes, they represent a direct threat to the dollar.

Hahaha! The power of delusions. They are not an economic block in any way, any shape, or any form.

Gee, how clueless do you have to be to think I did would have the same currency as Communist China who is it's biggest military threat? Just not going to happen.

As leaders from member states of the BRICS bloc convened for a summit in the Russian city of Kazan this week, Vladimir Putin took the opportunity to paint Russia as the leader of an emerging new world order. Meduza has obtained a copy of the Kremlin’s instructions for how the country’s state-funded and pro-government media should cover the event. In addition to its talking points on the BRICS forum, the guidelines tell propagandists to frame Russians’ purchasing patterns as a sign that Western sanctions are failing. It also calls for the media to promote the conspiracy theory that the U.S. government plans to engage in widespread election fraud to ensure Kamala Harris is elected in November.

There's 5 letters in the acronym, genius 😉

It already comprises 9 nations, with dozens of other nations from the Global South already expressing interest or applying to join...

I guess the US has lost the room, and everyone is heading for the exit as they're sick and tired of being ****ed in the A by the West.

                      Um, like the Dollar...? 🤷

Either way these nations are increasingly bypassing the dollar and they've already set up their own electronic banking systems - which was exponentially helped by the US sanctions Vs Russia, which have failed abjectly.

Did you know that this year Russia is now the largest economy in Europe!? 🤯🤯🤯

Probably cos the US ****ed Germany's economy, but hey ho - talk about a spectacular backfire!

The US has basically done its best to strategically do the exact opposite of its interests...

Literally creating China as a superpower; making Russia an enemy and pushing it into the arms of the likes of China, Iran, NK etc... Continuing to support the genocidal pariah state of Israel etc.

The world is waking up - and it's turning its back on the US...

Also 'threat to the dollar' does not equal creating a competing currency.

All they have to do is stop using it.

Love the term "Global South" for a group that includes Russia and excludes Australia
