I love Greece and that region in spite of the seismic activity. Got any golf courses there? One of the things I like about the old world is how they've maintained the culture, many places still use roads built by the Romans. And they dont seem overcrowded, I'd expect the northern rim of the Mediterranean to be packed with people.

Best place I ever lived was Solano Beach San Diego. Sadly that was for a year or so and I was a toddler with few memories of it, but we lived on a cliff overlooking the Pacific. Probably a rental property but it was paradise.
