I lived in a 32nd floor apartment overlooking the Ile de Puteaux. Great view down on to the rugby field there for game days. Clear line of sight to the Tour d'Eiffel, and the hulking Montparnasse in the distance.

We were considering going for the Olympics but quickly decided not to. Paris is normally too full of people, it will be impossible with the games going on.
