    What do you think is it? This thread is inspired by this:

    • Mouth taping is a popular trend where a person tapes their mouth closed before sleep to encourage breathing out of the nose.
    • People may tape their mouths before bed to stop snoring or to reduce bad breath.
    • The benefits of mouth taping for sleep are mostly anecdotal, since only a few studies have analyzed this trend.

    Dont know about TikTok but I did watch a utube video on the benefits of breathing thru the nose, cant remember what they were though. I think it helps keep the sinuses or parts of the body active that mouth breathing doesn't exercise. I've had congested sinuses forever, probably diet related (what isn't?) and got addicted to nasal spray. That and/or smoking or other drugs ruined my sense of smell, but maybe breathing thru the mouth doesn't help. Oh yeah, just remembered something. Video of the best sprinters crossing the finish line show them breathing thru their noses while lesser runners are struggling with open mouths gasping for air.

      my older golfing buddy with copd just got a new type of CPAP and he loves it. He said he's gone from maybe 2-3 hours of solid sleep to over 6. He didn't get the Inspire but a less intrusive device.

      I'm convinced lack of quality sleep is very bad whether its breathing or prostate problems waking people up
