I last went 30 years ago with the ex-wife. While we didn't have prostitutes proposition us directly, there were people handing out fliers advertising their services. Now there was none of that.

When I people watch, I make up stories in my head about why people are doing what they are doing and why they're dressed the way they are. When I first got there every hot woman I saw that was dressed not in tourist clothes was a prostitute. By the end the only one I thought that about was a hot woman dressed in a cocktail dress that had just walked out of MGM grand and started to eyeball a tourist at 8 in the morning.

Despite my profession, I'm actually rather naive about that stuff because the biggest city in my county has just over 10k people. We have prostitutes (Lake Geneva is a tourist spot for Chicagoans), just not street walkers.

Prostitutes compete with the casinos for the money and time of tourists. I believe the casinos have forced them to be a bit more discreet.

I know the address of a pornstar in las vegas. She accidentally doxxed herself on twitter.(so a lot of people know it)
If I ever visit I contemplate the idea to just show up and say hi I came all the way from Greece to see you, I am a great admirer would you like to go have a beer with me?

    But she'll probably shoot me

    Or ask me for money

or ask me for money then shoot me

    or say yes

Or maybe she will say yes, then ask for money, and finally threaten to shoot you when you don’t give her enough money.

I remember one trip, we gambled thru the night and as I headed for the parking lot I walked by a door and saw a river flowing down the mainstreet outside. It must have been 6-8 ft deep, almost up to the street sign. I was blitzed and high and thought I was hallucinating like Hunter S Thompson and went for the parking lot out back fearing the worst, no river. I was amazed... They designed it so flash floods were channeled away from casinos and parking lots I guess.

We were in Vegas the week of May 8th. Spent a few days there. We stayed at Planet Hollywood. Plenty to do in Vegas, like the strip and Fremont street (obviously). Checked out all the casinos, saw a couple shows, did the superman zipline on Fremont, checked out the neon sign museum and Hoover Dam.

Hired a bus (there was 12 of us) and drove out to Grand Canyon and back before heading onto the next part of the holiday.

The neon sign museum is best at night so you can see all the lights.

Yeah we did the neon sign museum in the evening. Was cool, but not really my thing. A couple of others in our group really wanted to see it.

Back at the beginning of May some college friends and I stayed a Circa and Saginaw Deli had a really good $22 "royal flush Ruben" plus between 2am to 5am they offer their $12 giant shrimp cocktail for just $0.99. Perfect for late night drunken eating.
