IMHO the best lower prices buffet in Vegas is A.Y.C.E. Buffet at The Palms. There are cheaper buffets but they are pretty low quality (mostly just reheated frozen or canned stuff) but A.Y.C.E actually makes most of their stuff in house, they actually try to make stuff taste good with herbs & spices, plus they are a really good value for the price as they also include all you can drink on the weekends.

This video is on their seafood night, which I have never been to, so prices are higher as it is all you can eat whole lobster and snow crab. Still, the two for the price of one deal he mentions would still only make it $65 for two people.

This video is on the weekend brunch at A.Y.C.E.Nwhich has snow crab legs and all you can drink cocktails. Not bad for $33.

Sorry I didn't respond. It was a good trip, with good friends, but the best part of it didn't happen until the friends left and it was just the wife and I. We're not big gamblers, but do enjoy shows, so we did a bunch of shows on the strip. Also had a good time on Fremont Street. She shopped, I people watched.

I was on a train last month which was supposed to stop there, but there had been some signalling problems and we had to take a detour, so didn't.

Excalibur. We saw Mad Apple and the Tournament of Kings with our friend group. Then Blue Man, Fantasy and walking/shopping the strip with the wife. There was a cool new Stranger Things store with different sections made up to look like a couple of the sets. I got a picture of Vecna and one of a Demogorgon about to eat me.

You get a pass on Mad apple and blue man if you've never seen them before, gets old real fast. But once is more than enough. Tournament is alrite I guess, but I don't know why you'd ever see fantasy in the internet age. Las Vegas has the best magic acts in the world and you didn't see ONE of those. Shameful.

It was my wife's first time being there and we only had one day without our friends there. I tried talking her into going to David Copperfield before Blue Man, but she was beat and didn't want to try to cram three shows in one day.

I have stayed at Excalibur and found it to be...subpar. Luxor is a better alternative in the same price range. I usually stay at Mandalay Bay. Good middle of the road and always been very clean. (I do have to say that the elevators at Luxor give you a bit of an odd feeling as they go up an incline instead of vertically.) I have stayed downtown before at the Golden Nugget. It had a real nice "old Vegas" feel to it. I stayed at the South Point last year when I went to see my Brother-in-law collect his 50 year plaque for 50 consecutive years bowling in the ABC tournament, but it was just to far away from anything else to be worth going back. Last trip saw the Blue Man Group and Menopause the Musical (laughed a lot at that one...if you are old enough to have had a wife go through menopause it is worth it!).

Most overrated restaurant to me was Hell's kitchen. It was very good, but I didn't think it was good enough to justify the price. Plenty of alternatives that are cheaper. Oerdin got it right though on the Bacchanal Buffet. Huge selection and all done very well...worth the price at least once.

Vegas has become my kind of "go-to" place as MGM keeps giving me comp rooms and the flight is $37 each way from here. Next trip (probably October) will include Cirque du Soleil but haven't decided which one yet. Definitely will be heading down to Freemont street and be drinking frozen pina coladas while playing some Mississippi at the Golden Nugget. Just something about that game...........

Ok, I get that you got a lot of cool things. I am just saying you stayed at probably the worst hotel in Vegas (other than Circus Circus). Excalibur is just that bad. Maybe the jousting was ok.

What sucked was my wife's seat was broken to the point she couldn't lean forward. And since we were front row on the side near one end, you had to lean forward to see some of the action. You also need to lean forward so you eat over the plate and don't make a mess so she got messy to boot. Being the chivalrous guy I am I did the same thing so as to not be an additional block to her view and also suffered her fate.

We stayed at the Excalibur because that's where we got the best discounts. Really enjoyed walking around The Bellagio. If/when we go back, we will probably stay at MGM Park as it's smoke free or someplace downtown.
