I would not regard the votes to be any of the United States business and regard the separatist votes as freshly totally irrelevant in any case following each internationally monitored nation wide election post-coup.

How would you not see a US land grab in the wake of such shenanigans as anything other than unacceptable?
Look! There is a cause and an effect!

The reason is YOUR COUP of Ukrainian government, the effect is the revolt of the part of Ukraine, which didn't support it!
They have revolted against the INJUSTICE YOU HAVE DONE.
If, we have supported the revolted for the just cause - sue us!

War is peace, black is white. (c.)

It's USA who had intervened in Ukraine, initiated a coup and overthrew the legal government, not Russia in Mexico!!!
The current government of Ukraine is just a talking head of the US embassy there.
It's you who had taken a full control of this country and leaded it to disaster, to a bloodbath for 8 years, not us!
If Russia did something alike to Mexico, USA would have responded in 1,2,3, AFTER A FEW DAYS, without waiting for 8 years while the ethnic Americans there have been slaughtered by the puppet goverment.

And Berz, please, trust me, we were not the ones, who wanted to become an enemy!
I remember the euphoria in late 80's and early 90's about Russian-American friendship here, about happy we were that the Cold war is over.
But it turned out to be a delusion of a fooled fool!
Thanks God, that it will never happen again, because you have fooled us once - you will never fool us again!
And our words are backed with a hypersonic missiles with a thermonuclear warheads!
    Period.

Dont you think SW Americans would demand the US help them? They'd be forming their own militias to defend their kin south of the border. As for these protests in Georgia, I wonder how many were employed or hired by the foreign actors targeted by the bill. Reminds me of a cartoon I saw recently, the manager announces all unessential workers could leave work early and then watched with binoculars as people left.
It's good to see that sane people in USA are still exist.

They did so in 1991, dummy!
Though with a violation of the active back then Constitution.
Since its creation in 1922, USSR was a Union of free to get in and free to get out Republics! And that was written in the constitution of the USSR!
That was the point of it and the reason why Bolsheviks have managed to unite the fallen Empire once again.

Also funny complaining Russian language is banned (needs fact check tho) after declaring Ukrainian is only a Russian dialect anyway.
Like Ukranian is banned in Russia, dummy!

In Ukraine the Russian language have been persecuted long before the 2014 - they have officially banned all movies on Russian (I remember that, because in 2009 I was in back then Ukranian Crimea, when that law passed). Later they have banned all Russian schools (as well, as Hungarian and Romanian).
NOW THEY HAVE BANNED THE ORTHODOX FAITH, DESTROYED THOUSANDS OF MONUMENT DEDICATED TO ANY RUSSIANS, BE IT CHEKHOV, PUSHKIN OR ANY OTHER RUSSIAN CLASSIC WRITTER OR COMPOSER and have BURNED 12 million of books from their libraries, only because they are written on Russian.
    Doesn't it remind you something?

The first thing what we have done in Crimea in 2014 is to confirmed in legislation that national languages of Crimef are: Russian, Ukranian and Tartar, because they are the three largest ethnic groups there (though Russians represent 84% of the total population in Crimea).

That is the difference, du alter esel!

    That is the difference!!!

Arming Nazis on a murderous rampage is the moral high ground to defending their victims? Russia doesn't want all of Ukraine, it would have prepared a much larger force. The people of the Donbas were not voting in those "monitored" elections run by the same right wing behind the coup. The people who elected the man driven from office obviously dont agree with your opinion about 'democracy'.

But when they did vote they overwhelmingly supported more autonomy. As for land grabs, the people in the region are already culturally and ethnically Russian and Putin recognized their independence. I expect him to honor their wishes, if he sends an army to attack them he will replace us at the bottom of the cesspool.
