I am in Fremont, California, which is a bit more affordable than some parts of the SF area but not really.

No, I am not creating Skynet. I have been focused, recently, on understanding how (relatively simple) neural networks work. Since a possible Skynet-type problem is due to misusing AI due to not understanding how it works, I hope that I am mitigating such problems.

Yeah, that is probably the main problem, but it isn't the problem that I have been focusing on.

However, by understanding how an AI works, then they won't be able to find a way in a way that we do not anticipate.

I wouldn't call what I do "slaving". Probably down to 40 hours a week. Maybe retire in 5 years or so?. Multiple kids now (3)
