I remember being in Venice about 10 years ago, and they had menus in English, French, German and Italian. Perusing the options in English I see 'Battered flattened meat'. No idea what that is and sounded disgusting. I checked out the French and German menus to try and work out it was supposed to be. I instantly understood the foreign language versions: Escalope de Veau and Wiener Schnitzel. The English wasn't wrong, but it was so wrong....

we sat down ordered esspresos and he just sipped it up and said let's go!

and I said hold one... greek coffee takes at least 2 hours and seeing as always everything in venice is greek
