I think that WW3 has started but it is on a slow burner for the time being

I don' see anything exceptional in free western countries giving arms to ukraine. greece included with some heavy stuff that serb is rightfully upset about

but when germany, the origianl nazis, give up their pacifism stance and give tanks, you know that the world has shifted

imho it is a slow military burner of billions of dollars being thown in at ww3

it is a contuniuation of power state politics bu it is obsene that this is done at the expense of human lives

anyway we can feel cozy in the west behind closed curtains but the world is changing

a vast dictatorship turkey is dictating terms to one of the best democraices in the world sweden and we just sit back and take it

rome collapsed because it admited barbarians in its ranks

you can't have democracy in name only and be the same as those you fight against

It may be said, in his defense, that he is simply a victim of state propaganda, but as the real Nazis of the past have shown us, this is not a legitimate defense. We must all stand against not only the horrors of reality that his country is producing, but against the rhetoric that supports it as well. I remain hopeful that Serb will one day understand these things and can be redeemed.
Serb can't be compared to Nazi decisionmakers or even rank and file soldiers in deplorability. He's more like a WWII German national working in an arms factory who spouts every bit of hawkish, nationalist propaganda but somehow never goes so far as to spout the racist or anti-Semitic vitriol that defines the Nazis. The geopolitics of the Russians seems perfectly fascist and Serb backs it up 100% but I don't think he is motivated by hate or contempt as much as by love of Russia and faith in its foreign policy decisions.

              Not hardly.

Rome split into two successor empires both of which admitted barbarians. The Western side may have fallen in part owing to that decision but the Eastern half stayed afloat almost 1000 more years.

Having said that, I agree that if the representative democracies do not favor other representative democracies and fail to close ranks to stop the authoritarian states from picking off any of the democratic ones I think it is only a matter of time before the authoritarian powers are in control.

Okay...I can accept this to a degree, but in the end there must be a conscience about the death being senselessly caused by his country. So far, I have seen none.

                      we were pretty secluded

anyway NATO is fighting a dictatoeshipt (russia) having a worse dictatorship (turkey) in its ranks

I agree. There are some bad people in the U.S., but in general even the right-wingers tend to act more moderately in reality.

I live in the US as a US citizen. The US government has an appalling amount of blood on its hands and I have voted for presidents who added to that blood. In no way, however, do I see myself as having that blood on my hands.

And thus we see how opinions in a democracy can differ from the "State Approved" line.
