Furthermore, lets get past all the pretense and talk for real. I am a Gnostic and proud of it. I will never let liberal vigilantes OR republican fanatics dictate my soul. That is MINE to decide, and I will not be persecuted or bullied to behave or believe a certain way in order to survive this world.

I am not the one who lost his soul here, political extremists are the ones that lost theirs LONG before me, by using it for their ideals and to be part of a group. That's another reason I dislike other Gnostics, they are just as bad actually.

On that point I agree re Venom as antihero. Back to me that's why I don't pretend to be a good person either, I am no hypocrite. However I would argue Eddie Brock is a victim of circumstance, and is not evil like Venom.

I mean Venom choosing him to begin with. Eddie Brock is just another fumbling around idiot human doing idiot human things. However now a powerful symbiote loves him. I think that changes the dramatic of the situation a bit.

TBH I have only seen smatterings of the comic books and the movies. I am an old guy though, and have known Venom and Eddie since they debuted vs Spider Man.

Let's just say Eddie Brock is a character I can identify with. I would also argue that Venom is the one corrupted by Eddie, not the other way around. Eddie beat him.
