If a state pulls this **** for police action crap it is at least self limiting. When a state pulls it to make itself geopolitically stronger at the expense of it's neighbors I have always recognized that as vastly more dangerous and self feeding. It also happens to be very fascist.
Still, if Russia can't be stopped this may be the standard the US and others will need to adopt as well. Perhaps a referendum and military stance to absorb Taiwan or other threatened territories. If you can't beat 'em join 'em at the lowest common denominator.Comment

We were pretty fine with an independent Ukraine since 1991. We have subtitised DOZENS of billions USD to them via discounted gas prices. We have invested another DOZENS of USD to their economy.
We were pretty fine doing bussines with Ukraine, as an independent state, despite they were always beggin for more money from Russia.
Then you came with your first Orange revolution in 2004 and with another one in 2013.

And, if you will not understand a sh!t, keep playing a super power - first we will start to destroy your bases and logistical centersm where your equpment and instructors come, then your ships.
