Your Patriot in its latest incarnation had sucked big balls against Kinzhal. There were dozens of Americans or German crew people killed, because Ukranians can't operate them. The destroyed Patriot battery was operated by Westerners with a 99% probability.

And still, you didn't answer - how do you like placing SAM missile battaries inside the megapolice like Kiev and thus using civilians as a human shield?

Ukranian do that all the time, be it SAm, artillery, MLRS or just human prisoners in the basements of the appartment buildings where the took "defence".

Are you proud of those fkers?!!!

    Oh, yeah!!!
Like Minuteman-3 and B-52 or many other things like a hundread year old 50 cal. Brawning machine gun or M1911 pistol (the name "1911" speaks for itself, it is the date when it was created), wich was only recently removed from the army inventory.

    A constant inovators, my ass!

Russia seems unable to understand that concept this why they were on their propaganda t.v. shows claiming Patriots are the same as the 191 Gulf war only to be shocked to find out their lies were completely untrue.
Now you are playing to be PLATO, Santa Clown!
Repeating his self-proclaiming sh!t word to word!

The latest version of Patriot - Patriot PAC-3 was commisioned in 2001, just 22 years ago. So, it's fairly new by American standards.

For certain they bluff. Keep in mind that there is a history of the US bluffing when necessary as well. I wouldn't take the performance of any system for granted until it is independently physically corroborated in battle.

It might not be as simple as that. The Russians were able to convince India to heavily invest in developing the hypersonic Brahmos-II together with Russia. If Russia had no demonstrable hypersonic tech India would never have partnered let alone successfully tested the Brahmos-Ii.

More likely, Russia built a number of working hypersonic kinzhals but has had difficulty building more recently after depleting the original stockpiles. It could be these latest kinzhals are corner cutting gambles that don't measure up to the original technology.

The concept of maintenance and upgrades (while keeping the same model name) appears to be beyond you. While Russian military trucks may be over 5 years old, we expect the tires to have been replaced every few years. This was a mistake on our part because we thought you maintained your equipment like we do. Now, it looks like you are doing the reverse.

I suppose I won't fault you for not reading it. It describes how important hypersonic weapons will be, comparing them to the longbow in medieval warfare and singing the praises of Russia's hypersonic weapons. It also describes how the US is having great difficulty procuring its own hypersonic weapons and that much larger commitments may be required if industry is to be expected to deliver an answer to Russia's successful hypersonic weapons.

You cream your pants all the time when you have something, be it non-existent SDI or failure instead of a plane - F-35, then you talk about secret upgrades (sure, abandoning 5 inch floppy drive was a huge step forward) of your ICBMs!

Don't you realize how laughtable such claims about secrecy are?

Name me a single model or a year, when such a non-existent weapon system was commisioned.

    Simple as that!!!

Serb, the Wikipedia minuteman III article actually says a major life extension upgrade program dates to 2010. In no way does the article imply the missiles only or even primarily contain 40+ year old components and systems.

I confess that I didn't think you'd actually post anything, however, so I took the liberty of searching for something to corroborate your claims myself.

I think this one might be the most convincing.

However, as Berz would no doubt point out for us, that site and the individuals quoted for that article are heavily beholden to US defense company interests and would certainly be expected to paint a dire picture of US defense readiness that could be addressed through new spending so I'm not ready to accept it's findings at face value.

It makes more sense to me that the US has upgraded and maintained the nuclear triad hardware extensively with heavy secrecy around the details of the actual maintenance and upgrade details.

You might also like their article on US hypersonic weapons
