  • Don't want to scare you

I have a friend, of greek origin, who is in ukraine right now. he can hear the bombs falling, I know exactly what goes on, serb's propaganda can't touch me.
just one question: where is the closest nuke that can take out moscow?
some years back religioys putin (religion can be a disease if left unchecked) had said of a nuke war: they will just crap out, we will go to heaven.
my friend who i was mocking for years about russia has been proven right on everything he has said so far

Nuking Moscow wouldn't help since Putin is hiding in a bunker in the Urals. The world has been lucky so far with nukes but it only takes one mad man in power to end it all. Putin is obsessed with restoring Russian power, but at the cost of nuclear war? Hitler and Stalin were willing to destroy their own people on massive scales to achieve their aims but I don't think Putin has that particular flavor of madness.

Pizza delivery would be a high risk job in Ukraine these days.

Not as risky as updating Putin on how the war is going

But you could earn lots of money by delivering Pizzas to malnourished russian troops.

That said ... fuel delivery to badly fueled russian troops also seems to be a way to earn lots of money these days

I doubt Putin is mad or insane though he does seem to be buying his own propaganda at this point. He also doesn't seem to have anyone around him but yes men none of whom seem to be able to tell him that his latest idea is really crappy and is going to result in an own goal.

It seems like his propaganda apparatus also has extremly incompetent peoplein their ranks.

                    Something extremly embarassing happened:
It seems like Russian State TV (Rossiya) already on Thrusday had a statement prepared where they celebrated victory in Ukraina.

A statement that was full of Pathos and claimed that during military operations in order to help Donezk and Luhansk, russsian soldiers where not met with all too much resistance but instead were welcomed by the Ukrainians and, before they could think of something else, they were in Kiew and were able to topple the nazi-Government there.
And that now golden times would dawn, due to the mistake of 1991 being corrected and the 2 brother tribes being united again.

Well, very embarassing for Rossiya, someone hit the wrong button (maybe on purpose? ) and the commentary was published on Friday.
Rossiya was notified about this mistake on Saturday morning and they immediately deleted the commentary.
Unfortunately for Rossiya, a Bot of the WebArchives already had found the Article and archied it, so it is still there to see and read for everyone

                    Here is the Article:
(In Russian ... but I definitely recommend that you put it through Google Translate and read it, because it gives lots of insight into the thinking of people like Putin and also Serb )

Новый мир рождается на наших глазах. Военная операция России на Украине открыла новую эпоху — причем сразу в трех измерениях. И конечно, в четвертом,... РИА Новости, 26.02.2022

I read it and goggle translated it. it was interesting. it is indeed a pararel universe.

I think that living in a different system for 30 years has turned the tide in ukraine. it is still very corrupted and institutionally challenged but people there have seen what can be done. and their drive to europe seems genuine

and of course plato was wrong. a state is not best served with a professional elite of politicians. Instead as the proponents of democracy have said, even a carpetner, everyone can become a politician and politics is a fundamental human characteristic.

that zelinsky character proves it. a darn comedian and he is a global hero now.

Even pro-communist Paiktis is not supporting this. Maybe the world still has hope after all?

I don't support an ukranian getting killed by bombs any less than I support an Iraqi killed by bombs.
What kind of human would I be otherwise?

Apart from that I am indeed in a privileged position through a friendship to know exactly what goes on in ukraine and the dire crimes of the putin regime

What I find strange is the degree that the russian propaganda has permeated some portions of the greek discourse. But then again there is a clear majority of people that are on the side of good and decent and that is indeed hopeful
