  • I am so glad that Serb is not serving in the Russian Army and invading Ukraine. It seems a horrible experience for all on both sides.

    • I haven't read the entire thread, so has anyone mentioned the training exercises in Latvia? American, Canadian, Spanish and Italian troops (and of course locals) are having a war games session. I guess they are having fun, because Canada is sending another artillery division.

There's nothing wrong with the dream, my friend, the problem lies with the dreamer.

        I don't recall saying that.

Well, if someone has to experience it, it might as well be someone who actually supports it.

^^ This. He would deserve every minute of it.

        • As you may know, the russians (at least those who follow Putin) nowadays use a "Z" as support for the invasion into Ukraine.

Do you know what you get when you combine 2 Zs rotated by 90 degrees?

          • It reminded me on World War Z. Then I noticed that they often use Z, but also other symbols, like V. So I thought it's a B movie about vampires and zombies.

In the end it turned out that it's poor Russians, many of them conscripts, sent out to die for Putin.

Makes you wonder how many Russian soldiers in Ukraine actually do support the war. I know there have been financial offers made to Russian troops to surrender...anybody know if there have been any takers?

              • Dunno if that had any effect...but otoh Putin looks desperate to get more "fighters":

Russian President Vladimir Putin has called for foreign volunteers to be able to fight against Ukrainian forces.

Speaking at a Russian security council meeting, he said those who wanted to volunteer to fight with Russia-backed forces should be allowed to.

Russian Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu said there were 16,000 volunteers in the Middle East ready to fight alongside Russia-backed forces.

Syria to the rescue! Maybe North Korea can volunteer some troops in exchange for food?

He may have more success than Ukraine in that regard. In countries where the most sympathetic people willing to join Ukraine are found the governments actively discourage, even imprison those would fight in Ukraine. I'd imagine this is not a problem in the middle east.

Aside from all the other countries that operate TOR-Missile-Systems, now there also is Igor from Ukraina,
who found and claimed an abandoned russian TOR-Missile-System while going on his daily walk through the forest

You are in grave danger of getting arrested for it. Just happened in Nizhny Novgorod:

In addition, any executives of companies that leave Russia or utter "disparaging" remarks about Russia, Russia's leadership, or Russia's current "special military operation" may be subject to arrest. So, in the spirit of these new Russian laws and declarations, "**** you Putin and your mass murder of Ukrainian civilians!"
