That is bull****!
Russia is the largest country on Earth the main grain and oil exporter, not to mention many other things.
You just stick in the 90's and keep faping in euphoria over the Cold war.
While in reality we are too much integrated into a World's economy, that our countermeasures against your sanctions will become the end for you.
You are acting like insane idiots.
So, be it!!!
And when you will suck deep after we'll close the valve and all other valves, if you f*cking dare something - we will incinerate you! We will incinerate you in any case of danger for our country.
So, your stupid economic warfare could never win!
Even if you will start winning. we will just reply with a brute force and kill all of you, idiots!
There will be no deceive of 1991 again, idiots!
We have learnt our lesson and now know WHAT YOU ARE!
You can wet dream about repeat of USSR collapse for all you care, but it will never happen again!
I see a lot of smugness coming from a lot of posters here about the effectiveness of sanctions (or special economic operations to restore Russian stability) in opposing Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
I've never understood this attitude. Russia has at its disposal a nearly unlimited number of non-military options it can pursue in retaliation for those sanctions that would be difficult if not impossible to respond to in kind
Russia could engage in sophisticated cash counterfeiting operations.
Russia could engage in cyberterrorism without fear of an effective western response due to its new iron firewall
Russia could cut off European energy exports in combination with revealing new infrastructure to divert the lost exports to China, India, and other "abstaining" parties.
Russia could cut transoceanic data cables
Russia could be imaginative in the sorts of ways that brainstorming more than 8 years can greatly facilitate.
The biggest problem for those seeking to oppose Russia's Ukrainian invasion have in common in this area is that they tend to give a much lower priority to across the board security measures than Russia always has. Opposing Russia in Ukraine has been a part time distracting hobby for the West. For Russia the possibility of such opposition and how to counter it has been a top priority since at least 2014.
Russia will respond to these sanctions and on its own schedule and plan.
