So did us capitalist scum use a DDoS attack to take down all of Russia's internet again? It has to be, because Putin loves dissent and opposing points of view. He'd never shut it down himself.

BTY, doesn't a DDoS attack only effect a single site? I realize that site could be an ISP, but the way I understand it, it would take thousands DDoS attack to create the level of internet silence coming from Russia.

Another couple of brave russians (and I mean actually brave):
Putin's war on freedom of expression in Russia appeared to be fraying at the edges on Thursday after guests on Kremlin-backed TV defied Moscow and openly criticised the brutal war in Ukraine.

Two guests in a talk show in russian state television have openly spoken out against the war and called out to Putin to stop it

What great, brave men, those Russians. Attacking schools, hospitals, utilities, ... to scare the inhabitants away.
And then later bragging about it to the folks at home.

The difficulty of the spontaneous group lie is that you don’t have the opportunity to make your lies consistent.

Sounds like Igor Konashenkov (and Lawrow) is a lot like Comical Ali (= Baghdad Bob).
At least when it comes to inventing absurd stories.

Unfortunately he isn't as comical as Comical Ali

More from Russia's claims about the bombing of a maternity and children's hospital in Mariupol - they are now saying the incident was staged by Ukraine.

Three people - two adults and a girl - were killed and 17 were wounded in the devastating strike.

Speaking on Rossiya 24 news channel, Russian defence ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said "absolutely no missions to hit targets on the ground by Russian aviation in the Mariupol area were carried out".

He then claimed: "The alleged airstrike that took place is a completely orchestrated provocation to maintain anti-Russian excitement among the Western audience."

But earlier today (see our post just before 11:00GMT) Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that the hospital was a legitimate military target because it had been "taken over" by Ukrainian radicals and "all the mothers and nurses were chased out of there".

President Volodymyr Zelensky said Lavrov's claim was a lie and called the strike a war crime.
The US president restated that his country's military would not directly intervene against Russia.

You may remember the old lady who was arrested in St. Petersburg for protestintg the war.
    She is free avgain.
    And protesting again.

Remember the recently detained Yelena Osipova, who survived the siege of Leningrad? She's back in action, protesting publicly in St Petersburg "🇷🇺 soldier, drop your weapon - and you'll be a real hero!" Banners are painted by herself. Don't know about you, but we love her! 💙💛

    A true russian hero

If the Russian authorities would persecute/prosecute Serb for what he has posted here then they have some serious problems. Serb is a loyal Putinite.

You know...I had never really thought about the fact that Serb having an open mind might put his life in danger. That is a truly sobering thought. Let's hope he uses Tor.

Serb, have you ever considered that there may be more involved here than you are aware of? Do you really consider that the Russian side of the story is 100% accurate? Do you feel like you have to totally hold the Russian line because we in the west refuse to consider both sides of an issue?
I believe that, even if Serb thinks otherwise, he will be well advised not to post it.

After all, if russian authorities are able to make a connection between Serbs nick here and real life serb,
and he would write anything that contradicted russian state propaganda,
Serb may end behind bars for up to 15 years, for speaking out the truth ehm I mean, "spreading fake news"

Actually he already may be in danger of this ...
AFAIK he never contradicted that all this is a war or an invasion and not just a limited military operation.

And this (i.e. making a connection between Serb and his Apolyton account) may happen very fast, if Serb posts on Apolyton from his Smartphone ...
after all, russian police now is allowed to seize peoples smartphones in order to look what they are posting and texting
    https://www.businessinsider.com/russ...eporter-2022-3

(but maybe this is, why we only hear from Ser on the weekends ... maybe he took security measures to only post from his personal computer at home, in order to not get in danger of authorities searching his office PC and/or his Smartphone and finding out that he has contact to people rom outside russia ehm I mean, that he is under the influence of foreign propagandists
