Seriousy, I watched the bits of "resignation" speech - no mention he'd resign, he attributed anything to the party's "herd" instincts to get rid of him.

He seemed to feel entitled to still be PM, since he won such a large majority, but forgot to mention that it's not a presidential system in the UK (so party matters more than person) or that this large majority had also to do with the unpopularity of Corbyn back then.

Still lots of the usual grandeur in his speech, but the lack of honesty instead of a little bit more modesty given the fact that he's just been driven out after being caught lying multiple times makes him look small actually.

He was very supportive of Ukraine (which I'd give him credit for), but domestically that does not help.

        eeeehhh:

Sky News has cancelled the third scheduled TV debate in the Conservative leadership race after Rishi Sunak and Liz Truss pulled out of the event following a bruising set of exchanges in the first two debates.

“Two of the three candidates currently leading in the MPs’ ballots – Rishi Sunak and Liz Truss – have confirmed to Sky News that they do not want to take part,” the broadcaster announced in a statement.

“Conservative MPs are said to be concerned about the damage the debates are doing to the image of the Conservative party, exposing disagreements and splits within the party.”
They should all agree and do lottery to get a new PM
