    Irksome Phrases

    Those phrases you encounter everyday that make your brain hurt.

    I'll kick it off with -

    "Game changer"

    Unless you are actually referring to a game please give it a rest.

                  I like it when ppl "putting out fires (everywhere)" -- when solving issues in their daily office jobs. Adds a way more heroic touch to everything

                        "their stories are so powerful", "his story had a powerful impact on me", etc.

                        Overused especially by women activists being interviewed on the radio. the word powerful should refer to actual physical power.
