And now:
1. We write from right to the left.
2. We write SHORT VOWELS as signs above (a, u) or under i) the previous letter.
Short a (like a in "bar" I guess) is called fatha, and is am oblique line above the letter.دَ
Short u (like oo in "boot", I guess) is called damma, and is a tadpole-like sign above the letter.دُ
Short i (like ee in "beetroot", I guess) is called kasra, and it is an oblique line below the letter.دِ

No, forum themes/skins/styles. Check the theme select pulldown on the bottom left of the page -note especially Mongo- and pick anything between Default and Dark Gold -except Grunge, someone's actually using that voluntarily- and I could make it all green and covered w/ frogs on lillypads around the edges...
