Western Rome lives on in the US and eastern Rome lives on in Russia and Greece and Constantinople

US government is a design based on the Roman Republic who also hated kings before being subverted by one. Many monuments and government buildings in Washington are based on Western Roman architecture and it was common to see Roman first names among 19th century Americans. The US is also represented by the eagle as the Romans were.

The Roman line will exist in some form for many more years to come

That is so true! And that is why we are still fighting each other.
With the only exception that only Russia is the true and only descendent of Byzantium, because the Greeks had failed.

From the historical point of view - that was the Western Rome who had attacked and still attacking the Eastern one, not the other way around.

It’s a good question. I personally don’t care and don’t get it either. It’s typically been a European issue but USA has continued British imperial policy. It’s a waste of time and money and when you throw oil into the equation, it answers a lot of your questions.

2020 and we’re still talking about oil. It gets even trickier when you throw in the petrodollar and all that economic weight that implies also
