North Korea’s Kim admits regime’s ‘shortcomings’

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has called a rare congress of the ruling Workers’ Party for January to address policy “shortcomings” and lay out a new five-year plan for the isolated nation’s moribund economy.

Kim made the announcement at a full meeting of the party’s central committee on Wednesday, where he “assessed achievements and shortcomings” since the last congress in 2016, the official KCNA news agency reported Thursday.

In unusually frank terms for Pyongyang, the meeting concluded “the goals for improving the national economy have been seriously delayed,” and living standards had not been “remarkably” improved.

Kim said there had been “unexpected and inevitable challenges in various aspects and the situation in the region surrounding the Korean peninsula.”

          Communism is pretty much dead.
Now if the Socialists will just die...

Democratic socialist countries in northern Europe have the highest median (note, not average) living standards in the world.

All of those countries have market based economies; something socialists don’t want.

I consider myself a socialist, and I prefer market based economies.  Regulated to prevent exploitation, with progressive tax systems, but market based economies nevertheless

But more immediately, an extra quarter million of us are literally dying right now
“It is no use trying to 'see through' first principles. If you see through everything, then everything is transparent. But a wholly transparent world is an invisible world. To 'see through' all things is the same as not to see.”

Which the american president wasn't able to handle. The rest of the worlds leaders managed just fine (well, there was a few that couldn't, but they acted as the american leader with catastrophic consequences).
With or without religion, you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion.

So TRUE... The Trump virus is still spreading across the country, and to him it was a "blessing from God"

BS. The virus came from a lab in China. It should have never gotten out of there. This is a lame attempt to defend bad people just like you just tried to defend an act of terrorism in the other thread. Absolutely disgusting.

Really, we're back to the "came out of a lab" theory? Absolutely desperate.

Did the virus really emerge accidentally from a Chinese lab?
Despite Trump's comment Thursday that he has seen information that gives him high confidence that the outbreak was the result of an accidental release from a Wuhan laboratory, U.S. intelligence officials told NBC News that they have made no such assessment. There is no "smoking gun" evidence pointing them in that direction, they say, and there may never be.
Intelligence officials stand by the public statement put out Thursday by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, which said that the intelligence community has concluded that the virus was not man-made but that it had reached no conclusion about whether it emerged accidentally from a lab or was transmitted to humans through animals.

The only "proof" you have is that it might have happened.

It's not unproven. The evidence shows that it came from that lab. The Chinese are spreading disinformation to cover up, and you are helping them.

What are you talking about? Fox News reported that the IC told them it came from the lab. The Chinese covered it up. That means nothing to you, because it's sounds better to you if the communists didn't do anything wrong.
