Next county over and we're still good. I'll be safe. The demographics make my county fairly safe from potential protests/riots (thanks for your concern ). However, here's my quick take after having watched the video only once:

The man should have been disable, preferably with a Tazer or other non-lethal means, prior to getting to his car door.

The mantra of"never bring a knife to a gun fight" is very much true, but there were several officers around with their firearms drawn. Six guns pointed at him or seven, makes no difference. There were plenty around. One should have drawn their Tazer and took him down when he reached for the door handle as he was not following directions.
