Not exactly. That was a crowdfunding project (you can see the list of 35 086 people who donated their money at the credits).
Gaijin has entered into it during the process. Sure they have helped a lot, but they didn't make this movie. They have provided technical and PR support, but nothing else.

I saw it in pieces not all of it but of course I liked it.

I liked that it seems very realistic, not over the top and that makes it more heroic
