There's tons of stuff going on in Cardiff, so I imagine it'll be the same where you are, if you know where to look.

A friend of mine met his wife by going on one of those Sierra Club get always.

That was the local program he used but there are more all across the US. Meetup would be a cheaper alternative.

I have a longstanding friend group, but most of my friends' friends are already paired off. Expanding the pool of available women by building an entirely new friend group is an arduous solution for someone like me with my myriad social anxieties.

The nice thing about event groups is everyone is meeting everyone else for the first time as well plus you are doing the event (in the example I gave above hiking and wilderness skills) so most of the time the instructors will be speaking and even when hiking or doing activities you at least have something in common to talk about.

I would think all those pairing offs would benefit you. They'd be more aware of your situation and easier to talk into pimping for you.
