    What did they do, in a time where Fantasy-Roleplaying-Games were not invented yet, Lord of the rings hadn't been published yet and the job as a computer programmer was something of a rarity

        I think a number of them founded a community in Bletchley Park to work on obscure electronic/mechanical devices which would then decipher the ghibberish of other devices....
