My recent infatuation with industrial dance music, known also as Electronic Body Music, brought me into contact with various musical ensembles of electronic hard core melodies and their peculiar names.
One of them is soman.

Now, how they work it is fascinating.
The greek term for them is Νευροπαραλυτικό Αέριο. That translates to "Neuro-paralytic inducing gas".
And it is just that. They enter the system through the respiratory canal and within seconds they freck up a chloride something and inhibit the natural relaxation of the muscles on the whole of the body. That means the muscles can no longer relax, they are always tense, so they paralyze. So you die. within minutes, from complete respiratory failure or cardiac arrest.
