I imagine it was part of glasnost; Gorby's attempt to pretend he was reforming the USSR without actually reforming anything.

People there could decide what they'd want to buy so they run ads to make them buy one thing or another. They also had free health care. But they were kinda nazis. Even San Diego doesn't have that kind of nazis (I think)

I think that people definitely buy it. The same is the history of other popular products. Marketing is an interesting and a bit weird thing. You can read the history of marketing development here https://phdessay.com/tag/history/ because neuromarketing is the newest trend.

Depends -- was it ok to eat in the 80s?
No, I did not steal that from somebody on Something Awful.

                        If it's McDonalds, probably.

                          Lol

Actually Estonians were thought by racial theorists to belong to a lower race that was not able to accomplish intellectual feats as great as those of "Germanics". An Estonian Nazi would only be harming themselves.
The same was the case for Finns. I'm also unsure if capitalists that were non Germanic used to exist in either country. (as of late 19th-early 20th cent)
Of these two ppl's, Estonians got overrun by USSR.

The statue Serb sports as his avatar is in Tallinn, btw.

The best Chicken in the 1980's was from Picnic 'N Chicken. It is a shame KFC had a vendetta against them and harassed them with lawsuits until they ran out of cash even though they eventually won the cases. The owner had been KFC's first and largest franchisees but sold off the franchises to start his own Chicken chain which was much better but KFC's CEO said he'd destroy them and that is what he did with lawsuit after lawsuit so that even when KFC lost each one the legal expenses ruined the chain.
