          Being gay and homophobic at the same time actually is something that isn't rarely be seen.
          You find this, for example, in many ultraconservative and ultrareligious members of society

          Especially evangelical preachers are prone to this.

          Actually there has been research that suggessts that secretly getting aroused by members of the same gender (i.e. being in closet gay (or bisexual)) and proclaiming a homophobic worldview are 2 things that have a high probability of being linked together:
