Grover's one of the oldest muppets still on the show, Elmo's been taking over more and more screen time ... Grover's been under some serious stress.

I experienced it the same way: definitely heard the f-bomb unaided. Only after reading an article could I hear "it sounds like..." instead.

What I (and most others) hear is: "Yes, yes, that’s a f**king excellent idea."
The clean version is supposedly: "Yes, yes, that sounds like an excellent idea."

FWIW, even after I knew the "correct" clean text, it still took 3 listens before I could hear it that way.
