To say that those territories were "long before" Polish is a confirmation of own idiocy! Those are the core Russian lands, the Poland has stolen for a while. Ukraine and Belorussia was a part of Russia for centuries! As well, as Poland after its division.

The reality is the US and UK played the Soviets like fools. The Soviets had a temper tantrum, like a child, and said if the west hurt their feelings again they would walk out. So, of course, the American and British representatives immediately set out to hurt the Soviet feelings again aiming to cause them to walk out. True to form the Soviets did walk out and then the US and UK held all night UNSC meetings passing resolution after resolution without any Soviet representative there to veto it! The Soviet ambassador actually went out drinking that night and only got woken up at 5am by a call from Moscow where they were outraged that he had let the west pass dozens of resolutions in their favor including authorizing military action in the defense of South Korea.Originally posted by Serb View Post
