My dad wanted me to be left handed since he thought it would be funny since MIng is right handed.
(actually because he said if you want to play first base, you have to be left handed despite my not wanting to play first base)It's almost as if all his overconfident, absolutist assertions were spoonfed to him by a trusted website or subreddit. Sheeple

I'm generally a lefty, but I was taught to golf, play guitar, and swing a baseball bat right-handed. And still do. With golf and guitar, it was about the available hardware. For baseball, it was just how my Dad taught me. I throw left-handed.
In Catholic school, the nuns did try to force me to write right-handed, especially when we learned cursive. I found it was easier to learn learn an overhand grip so my letters would "lean forward" the way they wanted.

At the Catholic school I attended the nuns would rap your hands with a ruler if you didn't hold the pen EXACTLY like they wanted.
So I took piano lessons from one of them so the rest weren't allowed to touch my hands again. I still hold the pen wrong
