atheists think they have the bull by the balls because they apply logic to the theological question. Yoy have an idea of nothingness, they say, it's when you sleep a sleepless dream. And you have no recollection of before you were born. Thus, it's easy to understand your eventual state of nothngness. You come from nothing, you will go to nothing. But then GOD comes in and says, wait a minute. Rather, firstly, man comes in and is devoured by the agonizing existential question of "why". Why is there exiztence. What is it? what's its purpose etc etc yada yada. Then GOD comes and says "and let there be light" and "there was light" and God liked it and he devided "the light from the darkness". This basically describes the big bang. How come frecking shephers goat fornicators could have had knowledge of the big bang and the creation of the universe? its creation was a will, a conscious decision of GOD. So, God exists.

No. Your consciousness is the result of a biochemical reaction. A very complex reaction but a reaction nonetheless.
Before you are born, no reaction, no consciousness.
After you are dead, no reaction, no consciousness.
There is no why.

I won't argue about whether that's a good description of the big bang (seems to leave out a whole lot and is not particularly explanatory and only works if you don't include all the other stuff said about creation), but basically every culture has some creation myth. That one of them happens to kinda sorta sound like our best current theory as to the origin of cosmic structure doesn't strike me as evidence for much of anything.Click here if you're having trouble sleeping.

The narrative seems to be spot on for the big bang, toned down enough so that the average human mind can coprehend it, yet rendered specific with chilling acuracy. The fact that other religions also have creation myths simply solidifies my argument. As an added bonus a state of nothingness where, nevertheless consciusness still exists and will re-surface, also renders the whole nothing to nothing point mute too

The Earth spins near a star
what caused the Earth to spin?
Impact, collision, another object hitting the Earth
How did the Earth spin near a star?
Because the impact moved the Earth closer to the sun.
Before the Earth was hit and moved closer to the sun it was further away where it was darker. Thats why the sun and moon dont appear in Genesis until the 3rd-4th days. Other events happened before the sun and moon became brighter.

Oh the inane irreduceable complexity argument. Talking about beating a dead horse. Occams razor proves god doesn't exist. Prove me wrong. For there is [another] kind of violence, slower but just as deadly, destructive as the shot or the bomb in the night. This is the violence of institutions -- indifference, inaction, and decay. This is the violence that afflicts the poor, that poisons relations between men because their skin has different colors. - Bobby Kennedy (Mindless Menance of Violence)

Gonorrhea, it Burns!“It is no use trying to 'see through' first principles. If you see through everything, then everything is transparent. But a wholly transparent world is an invisible world. To 'see through' all things is the same as not to see.”

It is so complex therefore god must exist isn't proof of anything. Some humans need a big man in the sky. I don't need that. I don't hear voices in my head. For there is [another] kind of violence, slower but just as deadly, destructive as the shot or the bomb in the night.
