As a rule of thumb, it's a bad idea to mix two drugs with the same general effect but a different method of action. The classic example would be benzos and alcohol. You can pop Xanax pretty aggressively, and as long as you don't deliberately down the whole bottle you'll simply fall asleep before it will hurt you. Likewise it takes some doing to really drink yourself to death; your body tends to barf it back up once BAC gets too high. But mixing the two is a pretty reliable suicide method. Likewise fentanyl and propofol; both are powerful sedatives, but they work quite differently. My pharmacist couldn't guess whether the norepi would do anything to counteract it, especially since I didn't give him exact quantities and rates, but he certainly wouldn't dispense that.

Of course, I don't know your mother's condition, weight, medical history, etc. Make of that what you will.
    Thank you.
No, I did not steal that from somebody on Something Awful.

Do note that there was a follow-up post, and I'm only a tech. I didn't know what propofol was this time last year.

          Patient height: 157 cm
          Patient weight: 188 kg

I am ... dumbfounded, frankly. But that's probably not atypical. I just happened to notice it tonight.

157 is short, but still over 5 ft. So not that unusual. 188 is ginormous though.

It's the combination that blows my mind. Both together.

sometimes you just have to let go. It is striking in my family there seems to be a clarity of mind deep into very old age. Untill the very last minute. This accompagnying love is all you need though. It is really the love of God through God through your loved onces. You have to fight and to love, that's life.

at first there is despair and fear, then a sense of futility, then courage and then strangely enough fearlesssness.

I was talking to my mom today, about some trouble at work. She said: you and I have , a long time ago, proven that we are fighters. I don't know. I never thought of it, what it means. She is right. And she believes in me. So does the SO and so do very frecking influencial people. Fight and love.

I am actually so relaxed I can even afford to have a juvenile approach to things. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xg9aQvjMS60. But I'm pissing all over Elok's thread so I stop. Respect is only earned, never imposed.

I think this problem exists a long time ago. I agree with you completely. The pharmaceutical industry has long been turned into a dirty way to earn money. This is very sad. Once I sold substandard medicines in a pharmacy. Because of this, I spent three months in the hospital. From myself I want to advise a reliable pharmacy. They never let me down. I wish you good luck in the new year!
