We could transform it into a "Germans in Russia jokes" thread.
How being top ass-kickers in 14 was not a good omen for what would happen in 18.
How venturing into Russia was not Germany's best moves those last 100 years...

That last minute goal was gold. But Japan played very well, gave Belgium quite some headaches before.

18 is not their best year, regardless of the century. And Russia not the map they perform best.

England win in penalties! Has anyone checked the temperature of Hell?

Hey Neymar cut the overdone theatrics, and play more footballsoccer instead, you're actually much better in that. Well, maybe next time.

Brits shouldn't have even passed Colombia. Colombia was missing their best player, and England didn't even play well against them. They cheated.

Beaten by Belgium twice, won against Panama, barely beat Tunisia, beaten by Croatia... great record.
For there is [another] kind of violence, slower but just as deadly, destructive as the shot or the bomb in the night. This is the violence of institutions -- indifference, inaction, and decay. This is the violence that afflicts the poor, that poisons relations between men because their skin has different colors. - Bobby Kennedy (Mindless Menance of Violence)

Well, it was close to England national team vs UK Premier League.
If I am not mistaken, 10 of the 23 Belgian players play in Premier League.
