My spare portable computer is a Dynalogic Hyperion. Do you think it'll run Windows 10? I do have the 384kb ram upgrade, 640kb ram 'ought to be enough for anybody, Bill Gates said so himself!
How many 5.25" 360kb floppies would i need to install it?

I haven't even connected the thing to a network. I transferred my files and LibreOffice installer via thumb drive. There will be no distractions on this doohickey; it will be for writing only.

As 5.25er floppy is not much of help these days there I'd see to turn the two slots on the side into devices for pizza baking.

          about 60,000 5.25" 360kb floppies should fit windows 10.

Hows the keyboard? if it's too cheap, then a USB one should do, i'm only saying 'cause i've had to do typing on a cheap netbook keyboard before, that thing was a torture device..small keys, small stroke, just overall miserable to type on.....

But what if you reeeeaaaally need a synonym for the word you've used three times in the last paragraph?

I may have to break down and buy a dead-tree thesaurus. My current book does not have a character like Nurayah, though, so I suspect that need will be less pressing and can be saved for editing.

Also, the keyboard should be okay; I went to Walmart and tested a smaller laptop to verify that the eleven-inch model was too small and made my hands sad. This laptop is big and clunky and has a decent-sized screen and keyboard, only a little smaller than the one I'm typing on now. I'll just have to get used to the way the keys don't go tickity-tick.

Trip finished, laptop works fine, turns out LibreOffice has a fairly robust built-in thesaurus anyway. So, for the record: DINAW.

Okay, but Oerdin is still always wrong, right?

I know you said it was for work only but you should problem test the new laptop out by installing Civ6 or better yet HOI4 on it.

Hell no. My productivity as a writer roughly triples when I have absolutely nothing else to do with my writing implement. No form of entertainment will be touching this device.
